K9 KAOS AZ is a non profit 501(c)3 Organization named in honor of K9 KAOS, who has now retired and since passed.
We have chosen to continue his legacy by offering K9 Assistance & Officer Support(KAOS) through our charity organization, by helping fund K-9 units with special training equipment & structural wishes to ensure the dogs are trained effectively for the jobs they encounter.
KAOS, was a Belgian Malinois, who came to Arizona from Holland in 2008, where he served the Glendale AZ Police Department. KAOS assisted with Building Searches, Area Searches, Narcotics Detection and Suspect Apprehensions. KAOS retired from duty, to his partner, K-9 Officer Gabe Vasquez in 2015, where he spent his time until passing in January 2020.

Gina spent most of her life in northern California while growing up in a military/LEO family. In 2015, she decided to move to Arizona with her husband and children where they began their own business in auto repair and restoration. As Gina tried to find her niche in a new state, her direction became clear during the pandemic. She joined forces with some LEO support groups at a time they were needed most. After many people approached her in the law-enforcement world, asking to help with fundraising events for their K9 units, she came to the realization that this is where the help was needed. Gina then went ahead and started the nonprofit, K-9 Kaos AZ, in order to help fund K9 programs in the state of Arizona. Along the way she has had a lot of support and gained a lot of friends that she now calls family. Gina will continue to work diligently along with her board and support system at funding as many K9 programs in AZ as possible.

Rosie is currently an active-duty member in the U.S. Air Force. Her passion for law enforcement stems from a 14-year career as Military Police, five of those years served as a Military Working Dog Handler. Previous military assignments include Germany, Nevada, Turkey, England, and now Arizona. After supporting K-9 KAOS for a year, she was offered a position on the board to further advocate for LEO and their four-legged partners. As she pursues a degree in Homeland Security, her goal is to bring awareness to the vital role K-9 teams play in the local, state, and Federal levels. Funding and resources are essential to maintain proficiency in K-9 tasks while keeping our communities safe.

George is an Idaho native who began his career with the Shoshoni Police Department in Wyoming. After transferring as a lateral to the Wickenburg Police Department in Arizona, he continued his patrol officer career while taking on several responsibilities. The roles obtained over the years included SRT (Special Response Team) member, CARR (Child Abduction Response Team), FTO (Field Training Officer), and now a full time K-9 Handler. His first K-9 partner was a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois named Bikkel, specializing in narcotics detection to include methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin and fentanyl. As a team, they were certified twice through the National Police Canine Association (NPCA) for narcotic detection and patrol duties while successfully obtaining a Patrol 1 Certification. Their hard work and determination led to many successful deployments over the span of several years. Ofc Weaver now works for the Helena Police Department and is working toward developing their K9 program. His goal is to establish this essential program within several other cities in the state of Montana.

"Yesterday K-9 Kaos AZ spent the day up in Payson AZ with Tonto Apache Police Department. What an amazing welcoming, fun day! We felt so at “home” up there with their family. We had the pleasure meeting the new service dog we raised money to purchase for their program, K9 ZARA (bonus we also got to help name her) Had lunch with their chief and many more of their officers at the casino, then did some bite work before saying goodbye.
Without our amazing donors, none of this would be possible. Thank you for the support and love you show to our K9 community and the generosity in the donations to keep these programs funded. Christine Nylen David Bonanno
